Fabricator with Mining / Quarrying Work Experience
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings to determine job requirements
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances and can mark out confidently.
- Complete fabrication activities to include prepping, oxy cutting, bevelling, grinding
- squaring and assembly of steel to ensure completion to client requirements
- Measure and check completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications
- Perform the welding of steel components in all positions
- Perform welding techniques including FCAW, TIG, MIG and Stick
- Has fabrication experience with structural, plate, piping, tanks, hoppers and/or vessels
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a heavy steel fabrication workshop.
- Has experience in Mining / Quarrying industry.
- Experience fabricating fixed plant machinery and structural steel
- Has relevant knowledge in block fabrication, outfitting, consolidation of blocks and/or welding
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and welding principles
- IELTS / PTE exempt preferred.
